Yeah Write Gargleblaster on Stargazing

Negev moon

Taken by me in the Negev desert, Israel.

Waiting all day for night
to fall
Waiting in the night for our eyes
to adjust
Waiting behind our eyes for our vision
to focus
And wondering.

The wait is over and the journey begins
Beyond our eyes and into the skies.

This is my take on Yeah Write’s 42-word Gargleblaster prompt (a hat tip to the best drink in existence in theΒ Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy series) for this week: What’s so amazing that keeps us stargazing?

  1. I love how you take us from the physical to the spiritual in one stanza. That’s just fabulous. And I am absolutely in awe of your photo – I so admire people who are visually creative.

    1. Thank you! I was so glad that a friend happened to be admiring the moon in a perfect position for long enough for me to take this picture πŸ™‚ .

I'm not your grandmother - talk back to me!
